Aldo Uva

Chief Operating Officer, Ferrero

Mr. Aldo Uva joined Ferrero in February 2015 and is currently the Chief Operating Officer, reporting to the Group Executive Chairman and to the CEO.

In this role, Mr. Uva leads teams whose objectives are to support the ambitious growth targets of the Ferrero Group and to work on disruptive innovation aimed at increasing the company’s competitive advantage.

Reporting to the Executive Chairman, Mr. Uva drives all the activities related to the Group’s Breakthrough and Open Innovation coordinating the Scientific Research Teams in New York, Singapore and Alba.

Reporting to the CEO, Mr. Uva leads: Corporate Communication and Public Relations; I.T.; Procurement; Raw Materials and Agricultural Enterprises; Sustainability & Risk Management; The Hazelnut Company; Foodservice; Travel Market; Nutrition and Health; Raw Material Innovation.

Before joining Ferrero, Mr. Uva was President and SVP at Firmenich Flavors, where he began in July 2009. Reporting to the CEO, Mr. Uva was responsible for creating, driving and delivering the company’s strategic goals for the division.

Prior to Firmenich, Mr. Uva was the CEO at Natuzzi, a global Italian furniture manufacturing company. He joined Natuzzi as CEO in 2008 with the challenge of turning around the business, which he successfully accomplished during his tenure at the company.

In 2007-2008, Mr. Uva worked for Nestlé in Vevey, Switzerland, as VP and Head of the Global Beverages and Food Services Division, where he assumed worldwide responsibility for the Beverage business.

From 2001-2007, he held various positions at Sara Lee Corporation, starting as the Regional VP for the Americas and South Europe for the Household and Body Care Division based in Barcelona, Spain. After two years he was transferred to New York to take over responsibility for the North America Coffee and Tea Division. His last role at Sara Lee was in Chicago, as Senior VP of Transformation and as a Corporate Officer of the company, reporting to the CEO.

For four years prior to Sara Lee, Mr. Uva was CEO of North and Central America, Mexico and Caribbean for Parmalat, one of the largest milk companies in the world.

Mr. Uva started his career at the Italian multinational Indesit Company, a leading European manufacturer of domestic appliances. He spent thirteen years at Indesit, where he held several roles, the last as CEO for Russia, Central and Eastern Europe.

Mr. Uva is married with 3 children and holds degrees in Economics, Political Science, and in Classics.
