One Young World will hold one Global Summit every year. Each one will consist of five Plenary Sessions that will each debate a key issue that is of particular concern to the world's young people.

In order to properly address these issues, a Global Consultative Process has been commissioned with the UK's leading online market research agency, YouGovStone.  It will become one of the largest polling studies ever conducted with the world's young adults and it will comprise of three phases over a 12-month period. The study's remit is to hear young people, gain insight into their future concerns and use its findings to identify Draft Resolutions discussion at the Inaugural Summit.

Phase One has already identified the key issues that will be debated at our Inaugural Summit in 2010:

  • Developing political leadership for a positive future
  • Global Business and its role in shaping society through the economy
  • Interfaith dialogue on world religion and spirituality
  • The Environment and its protection
  • The Media: its changing identity and power
  • Global Health challenges

The Resolutions that result from debating these issues will be announced at the closing ceremony of the Inaugural Summit.
