Congratulations to One Young World Ambassador Jemima Lovatt who was named an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society in recognition of her work to eliminate domestic violence. Jemima works as a Development Director at the Global Foundation for the Elimination of Domestic Violence, which works worldwide to find effective ways to tackle domestic violence. She is currently leading projects in South Africa which include establishing youth councils and building an international coalition to fight domestic violence and share expertise.

"I will use this opportunity to grow several projects that I am currently working on to eliminate domestic violence; I hope that as a result that will reach and impact upon more people through this extensive network and much-loved community," said Jemima.

One of the projects she is currently working on is an awareness-raising campaign in collaboration with fellow One Young World Ambassador Dillon Olliviere.

The aim of the fellowship is to present members with a chance to engage directly with the future of the Commonwealth. The Associate Fellowship Programme is a youth network that reaches across the Commonwealth and promotes leadership skills in the context of Commonwealth values.

Jemima attended the One Young World Summit in Ottawa as a recipient of the Carole Stone Scholarship where she led a Breakout Session on eliminating domestic violence through education.
