SHAPING HORIZONS: A YOUTH PROGRAMME UNLIKE ANY OTHER
While youth programmes are ubiquitous; youth programmes that connect seasoned experts with young people involved in burgeoning projects are not that common. It is thus exciting to see an initiative like Shaping Horizons taking the mantle in just that: “gathering 150 young leaders from across the UK and Latin America to engage with senior leaders and ignite change”.
Shaping Horizons is a summit and action programme that will take place on 9 September – 13 September 2019 at the University of Cambridge. It is organised by Global Shapers Cambridge Hub together with the University of Cambridge. The programme will explore four themes:
- Fourth Industrial Revolution
- Social Challenges
- Humans and Nature
- Our Shared Future.
This is the first international summit and action programme on science, policy and innovation. There are prizes to be won for solutions pitched at the end of the Summit.
