Emmanuele Marie Parra Causon

Emmanuele Marie Parra is a Senior Publishing Specialist at the Legal Editorial Operations of Thomson Reuters in Manila, Philippines. Aside from her regular job, Emmanuele is also an active volunteer both inside and outside of their company. She is the co-lead of Thomson Reuters Global Volunteer Network Manila, a group of employees that organize volunteer activities aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for their supported NGOs. 

She is an anti-human trafficking advocate supporting Voice of the Free, an NGO that rescue victims of human trafficking, slavery, cybersex, prostitution and pornography. Emmanuele led her fellow employee-volunteers at Thomson Reuters to organize numerous volunteer activities as part of the healing process of the survivors including the Muay Thai self-defense workshop that she organized in partnership of the Thomson Reuters Muay Thai Club. This activity aims to regain their self-confidence, protect themselves when they’re out of the shelter, and empower them so that they can achieve their dreams and goals. 

Emmanuele first joined One Young World as one of the fifteen delegates of Thomson Reuters in Bogota, Colombia in 2017 and she was selected as the One Young World Coordinating Ambassador for the Asia 3 Region which consists of 10 countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. 

She has earned noteworthy accolades for her work over the past three year: as Thomson Reuters Foundation Ambassador in London 2016, as Vice Curator at Global Shapers Manila Hub, Certified External Facilitator of #IAmRemarkable workshop, and Women Who Rock for Corporate Social Responsibility Awardee in 2019.
