Mathias Madsen is a Programme Manager in the Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DEVCO) in the EU Commission. His work covers thematic areas such as Countering Terrorism and Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism, including with youth. Through the global “Peace Ambassadors” initiative, DEVCO has cooperated with OYW for several years, on empowering young leaders to prevent violent extremism in their respective local communities.
