Diana Layfield is currently President, EMEA Partnerships at Google. She previously served as Chief Executive Officer, Africa Region for Standard Chartered Bank, where she was responsible for the bank’s businesses across the continent.

Diana previously held a variety of senior management roles for Standard Chartered Bank, including Chief Operating Officer for the Wholesale Bank (where she was responsible for the global infrastructure for the Wholesale Bank, including Risk, Technology, Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Strategy and Human Resources); Group Head of Strategy & Corporate Development (where she had global cross-business responsibility for the Group’s strategy development and M&A agenda) and Global Head for the Bank’s Global Corporate Client coverage teams.

Before joining Standard Chartered Bank in 2004, Diana was Chief Executive of Finexia Limited, a provider of credit scoring and processing technology for the commercial finance industry; and with the leading strategy consulting firm, McKinsey & Company, from 1995-2000.

Diana graduated from the University of Oxford and holds a Masters in Public Administration & International Economics from Harvard University.
