Susan Cole
Mother of four and ex wife of three, Susan has been active in HIV education, activism and journalism for almost twenty years. She has worked for a number of HIV NGOs including The UK Coalition of People Living with HIV (UKC) and National AIDS Trust (NAT) and was the UK representative for the EU Project on HIV prevention strategies. She was a regular columnist and writer for Positive Nation Magazine and has written for a variety of other publications on issues around HIV including BASELINE, African Eye, Writers of Colour and The F-Word.
She works for NAM aidsmap, the HIV Information Charity, leading on their community engagement activities and is the host of aidsmapLIVE the live panel discussion series on HIV. She is particularly passionate about issues affecting women living with HIV - she is a trustee of the Women’s HIV Charity The Sophia Forum and presents internationally on issues affecting people living with HIV
