As a UN Environment Goodwill Programme Ambassador for North America, actor and musician, Aidan Gallagher advocates for SDG #13 Climate Action with an emphasis on the human rights of clean air, clean water and sustainable economies.

Early youth advocacy work with LA Waterkeeper, WildAid, and Oceanic Preservation Society led to a 2018 historic designation for Aidan as the youngest UN Goodwill Ambassador ever designated in the UN System. Since that time Aidan has been seen as the face of numerous UN climate initiatives, including speaking at events and panels, while actively sharing environmental messaging via his large social media following.

Recent years have seen Aidan hosting the 2018 London Illegal Wildlife Trade conference on invitation of the UK Government and the then Duke of Cambridge, Prince William; at the 2019 UN Youth Climate Summit where he interviewed the Secretary-General and appeared on CNN International. In 2021 Aidan started his @TreesWithAidan initiative in conjunction with Envision Racing— with a joint goal to inspire one million climate action pledges for which Envision will plant one million trees. In 2022 Aidan appeared in the Bloomberg News QuickTake segment: Climate Minded.
