Peace-building, Foreign Policy and Risk Analyst
Ibrahim Jalal is the youngest Non-resident Scholar in the Gulf and Yemen Programme at the Middle East Institute (MEI) in Washington DC, a Research Fellow at the Yemen Policy Center, a Co-founder of the Security Distillery Think Tank and a Yemeni peace-building, humanitarian and geopolitical consultant. He has briefed a wide range of audiences, including international organisations and diplomatic corps, on UN led peace processes, humanitarian interventions, conflict and defence, risk, arms control and the evolving security architecture in the Middle East, as well as participated in relevant Track II discussions. His research has appeared in Peace Research Institute Oslo, The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Peace and Conflict Studies, MEI, the Overseas Development Institute, Twazun, The International Institute for Strategic Studies' Strategic Comments, The National, Gulf International Forum, among others.
