Joseph Tsongo
Climate activist, Peacebuilder, Coordinator of Amani-Institute ASBL
Born in the midst of the war in eastern DRCongo, Joseph Tsongo is a young social change activist working to promote the culture of peace and the development of grassroots communities. 27 years old, he is a proactive young man basing his engagement on painful experiences facing his co-citizens. The initiatives he leads in his community and his country with his organization Amani-Institute ASBL prove that he is actively involved in various fields that contribute to peace and development in his region. Convinced that he won't change the whole world at the same time, he believes that a small action, taken in an appropriate place, could influence and create positive change. Joseph Tsongo working in the youth area for more than more than 5 years, says he acts because he knows he is part of the solutions Africa and the world need. His motto: "small steps, for giant profits"
