Rónán is the founder of SEDCo - Social Enterprise Development Company. SEDCo creates and supports social business in Ireland and the UK. Founded in 2014, SEDCo has established 14 social businesses to date.
SEDCo’s impacts include assisting 80 refugees and migrants into work, helping charity shops to make an estimated total of €20million more per annum in the UK and Ireland through the creation of a software programme, and helping to create a new model for sustainable food production and consumption through creating a multi-stakeholder coop that links consumers with local farmers.
Currently with 4 full time employees and 30 vulunteers, SEDCo will create 10 full time jobs by the end of the year and 1,000 social businesses by 2020.
Rónán has been awarded the Irish Presidential Youth Medal and the Dublin City University Chancellor's Medal for his achievements.
