One Young World, the global forum for young leaders, today shares new dates for the global One Young World Summit in Munich.
With support from the City of Munich, The One Young Summit in Munich will now take place from April 23-26, 2021.
One Young World takes pride in convening a global community annually, and the decision to postpone the 2020 Summit was made for the health and safety of our 1,800 young leaders and partners who were registered to attend.
One Young World is thankful to its entire global community who continue to support the work we do.
As more updates become available, we will share them. For now, further information on venues, Plenary Sessions the revised skeleton agenda for the One Young World Summit in Munich 2021 can be found here.
"It is clear to us that the work of One Young World is now more important than ever."
- Kate Robertson, Co-founder, One Young World
Although we are unable to gather in person, One Young World's work to accelerate change by identifying, connecting and promoting young leaders is more important than ever. Here are some of the major projects we've been working on over the past three months:
COVID-19 Young Leaders Fund
One Young World established a fund for young leaders on the frontlines of the COVID-19 response. Around the world, young people are combating the Coronavirus with the most innovative methods in the most challenging circumstances. By directing money to leaders on the front lines, we can ensure that resources are being accessed by those who need them most. We thank the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the United Way for their support in funding the first round of recipients.
#TogetherApart series
One Young World’s #TogetherApart Series draws on the wisdom, experience and insight of our members, allowing every one to ask questions, tell stories and share best practice. Though we may be physically distancing, our work to highlight inspiring leaders and changemakers continues. One Young World Ambassadors have interviewed global leaders such as Paul Polman, Ilia Calderon, Dr David Nabarro, Sinead Burke and Terry Crews.
