Angela is a Non-Executive Director of Yorkshire Building Society, with more than 30 years of experience in financial services.

She previously held a number of roles at Aviva, including Chief Executive Officer UK Life and Group Chief Risk Officer.

She is currently also a Member of Council at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London.

Angela began her career as an actuarial consultant for twelve years, working on a wide variety of actuarial assignments in many countries.

Angela is a well respected role model for LGBT and women in leadership, featuring in the ‘OUTstanding Leading LGBT+ Executives List’ presented by the Financial Times. She actively champions the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
