Ken Costa was appointed Chairman of Lazard International in October 2007. Lazard is one of the world's preeminent financial advisory and asset management firms, operating in 24 countries. Before joining Lazard, Mr Costa was Vice Chairman of UBS Investment Bank “ where he worked for over 30 years. He has a wealth of international experience, having served in the past as UBS' Chairman of Investment Banking for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Mr. Costa has particular experience in structuring cross-border mergers, and advising a number of Middle Eastern investment companies on acquisitions.   Mr Costa read law and philosophy at Witwatersrand University in South Africa. He later studied law and theology at Queen's College, Cambridge. He is highly active in a number of charitable and faith-based organisations.
