Vinicio Cerezo
President of Guatemala, 1986-91; Secretary-General of the Central American Integration System
H.E. Vinicio Cerezo served as President of Guatemala from January 1986 to January 1991 and was both the first democratically elected President and the first civilian to be elected since 1966 after military regimes. He was was the creator, promoter and signer of the Peace Agreements in Central America, Esquipulas I and II.
President Cerezo now works to further the integration of Central America is the Founder and President of the Esquipulas Foundation for Central American Integration in which he promotes Esquipulas III a Plan of Economic and Social Development for the Region.
