Torchbearers for the SDGs
The SDG Summit 2023 provides a unique opportunity to expand and strengthen meaningful youth engagement at all levels, particularly in the scope of SDG implementation, review, and follow-up. Building on the views and recommendations from young people, highlighted during the “Youth & the SDGs'' global consultation, the outcomes of the 2023 ECOSOC Youth Forum, as well as the process culminating in the Secretary-General's Policy Brief on Meaningful Youth Engagement in Policymaking and Decision-Making Processes, the Office of the Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth will facilitate a youth-led meaningful youth engagement roadmap towards the SDG Summit 2023 .
In order to achieve it, a series of virtual youth consultations will be hosted between June and August 2023. The first youth consultation will take place on 30 June 2023.
Please register to the Friday, 30 June 2023 consultation by no later than Wednesday, 28 June, at 6h00 pm EDT (New York time).
There will be simultaneous interpretation in the 6 official UN languages during the consultation (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish). Closed captioning will also be available.
