The UNESCO Cluster Office for the Caribbean is cordially inviting young people (18-30 years old) from the English and Dutch-speaking Caribbean to participate in an online consultation on Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) in the month of November to share YPS concepts, capture recommendations, and lessons learned specific to youth, peace and security in the English and Dutch-speaking Caribbean.
Young people meeting the following requirements are invited to apply to participate in the UNESCO consultation:

Young people between 18-30.

Young people based in Aruba, Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curaçao, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Sint Maarten, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.

Young people with experience on issues related to peace and security at the local, national, regional or global level. For instance: Prevention and transformation of youth violence, such as crime reduction and/or addressing involvement in gangs; citizen security; reconciliation, conflict resolution, and access to justice; promotion, awareness-raising and defense of human rights, which can include sexual and reproductive rights; social cohesion, disability inclusion and social fabric recovery; local and national governance processes; humanitarian action; peace processes; activism through civil society (advocacy); development cooperation; addressing all forms of gender-based violence; and promotion of gender equality and/or LGBTI+ rights.
