Incredible performances from Guilford School of Acting, National Centre for Circus Arts and The Brit School
More than 200 performers from a range of backgrounds opened One Young World London 2019 to the soundtrack of “London’s Calling” by The Clash, choreographed by Nikki Trow.
Leading UK sustainable fashion designer Patrick McDowell dressed all performers in 100% sustainable costumes using only reclaimed fabrics and organic materials.

One Young World Politician of the Year Awards
The One Young World Politician of the Year Award was established last year to celebrate the most impressive and impactful politicians aged 35 and under. The 2019 shortlist exemplifies the outstanding achievements of young leaders who have infiltrated the old guard of politics worldwide. From that list of 20 exceptional politicians, the expert judging panel have selected five honorees for their outstanding leadership. The winners are Juan Guaidó, Mbali Ntuli, Thórdís Gylfadóttir, Hervé Berville and Magid Magid.

The Craftory and One Young World Entrepreneur of the Year Award
The Entrepreneur of the Year Award was created to identify and promote the world’s most revolutionary young entrepreneurs. The award honours five leaders – aged 35 and under – who have been judged on the positive social impact of their business ventures and how they are inspiring others with their leadership. The winners are Severin Hacker, Catherine Mahugu, (Kathryn Minshew), Srikanth Bolla and Elissa Freiha. One Young World Trustee Elio Leoni Sceti, who is also Chief Crafter & Co-Founder of The Craftory, introduces the session reflecting on the evolution of Purpose-driven business, FMCG 2.0, and delivering righteous causes brand by brand.
