Jovia Kisakye is a dedicated social entrepreneur and advocate for sustainable development, renowned for her innovative initiatives in waste management, agriculture, and public health. She holds a bachelor of Business Statistics from Makerere University in Uganda. With a background in environmental science and community development, Jovia has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to driving positive change and making a lasting impact on society.

As the CEO of Ecobed Biotech Brand, Jovia spearheads initiatives to transform spoiled milk and organic food waste into valuable resources, including high-tech organic fertilizers and animal feeds. Additionally, Jovia has led the development of a groundbreaking mosquito repellent skincare lotion derived from the would-be spoiled milk which is mixed together with plant extracts. This product not only offers a safe and effective alternative to conventional mosquito control methods but also contributes to mitigating climate change by reducing methane emissions from food waste.

Jovia's leadership and dedication have earned her recognition from reputable organizations worldwide, including awards from the Ruforum Network, NSSF Hi-innovator award, UNFPA ETP award, African SME Young Entreprenuer's award, Tony Elumelu Foundation Award, Unleash India lab, Clinton Global Initiative, Because International, Yunus Environmental Hub, among others. Jovia has also spoken on global events such as the World Investment Forum in 2023 where she was recognized for her role in circular economy and sustainability and was awarded the Empretec Women In Business award by UNCTAD. She has also featured in several local and international papers such as Germany news Agency, Alterna JP, New vision Uganda, Daily Monitor among others. As a youth representative at the African Union Youth Reference Committee and a YALI alumna, Jovia continues to advocate for youth empowerment and sustainable development across Africa.
