Joyce's journey began 8 years ago when she embarked on a "hands-on" mission to transform the economic prospects of those who tirelessly toil on Africa's degraded soils. Armed with a Master's Degree in Procurement and Logistics from the prestigious Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, she merged her procurement expertise with her passion for environmental sustainability.
Joyce's legacy also includes co-founding Safi Organics Limited, a game-changing startup nestled in the heart of Kenya. This innovative company has harnessed the power of cutting-edge hardware technology and proprietary recipes, validated and tested by the esteemed Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Joyce has been honored as an outstanding young entrepreneur in her remarkable career. Her accolades include being named as MIT Legatum Foundry Fellow, a Mandela Washington Fellow, and a Thought For Food Fellow, Net Zero Hero, among others.
