Amelia Brodka first took up skateboarding after seeing it at X Games Philadelphia 2001, and started competing in her first pro vert and bowl contests in 2007. The Polish immigrant has also been one of the prime movers and shakers behind the scenes in women's skateboarding in recent years, as co-founder of the non-profit organization Exposure Skate and director of the 2013 film "Underexposed: A Women's Skateboarding Documentary." The 7th annual Exposure contest was held in November 2018.
