Ana Djú
Head of Solutions Mapping, UNDP Guinea-Bissau
Ana Djú is the Head of Solutions Mapping at UNDP Guinea-Bissau, working as part of the UNDP Accelerator Labs searching for local solutions to daily problems faced by the community. Using a bottom-up approach, her team collaborates with community leaders, local innovators and grassroots organizations in order to accelerate and tackle development in the most sustainable way possible. Djú considers herself first and foremost a human rights advocate, and is the co-founder of a social enterprise called Djú&Có which focuses on community development and youth empowerment. She runs independent fundraisers and regularly donates her time and money to causes she is passionate about, such as community led projects and sustainable development initiatives in West and East Africa.
