Best Chitsanupong Nithiwana is a transgender human rights defender from Thailand. She was a public information assistant consultant at the UN Headquarters. She supported the digital campaign of Youth Peace Security to gain the meaningful participation of women and youth in peace processes worldwide. In 2018, she became the first transgender participant in the U.S. Exchange programme, YSEALI Academic Fellows. Then, she won 2nd Place and Crowd Favorite at the 2018 YSEALI Summit Innovation Slam to create an innovative map for LGBTQ+ friendly spots in Thailand. Best is also a founder and executive director of Young Pride Club, the LGBTQ+ youth community that provides educational content and youth leadership workshops for young people in Thailand. In 2021, Young Pride Club collaborated with the U.S. embassy in Bangkok and key organisations working on youth rights to organise Youth Pride Thailand. It is the first pride organised by LGBTQ+ youth and for LGBTQ+ youth.
