Danny Harvey has more than 20 years of experience in the humanitarian aid and development sector, working with a number of organisations, including Concern. She has lived and worked in a number of countries including Cambodia, East Timor, Uganda and Zambia and joined Concern UK as Executive Director in 2019. Danny has a background in agriculture and natural resource management and has worked extensively on gender, women’s empowerment, rural livelihoods and, more recently, multi-sector approaches to nutrition. She is committed to tackling the inequality that goes hand-in-hand with poverty and is passionate about working alongside people living in the poorest and hardest-to-reach communities so that together we can build a better, more secure and prosperous future.
