Dr. Ngwashi Christabel
Delegate Speaker for the Health Plenary Challenge
Dr. Ngwashi Christabel is a medical doctor and international health specialist with over three years of experience providing healthcare in conflict-affected areas of Cameroon with a focus on Maternal, Adolescent, Reproductive and Child Healthcare. She is the founder of MT-JAM Health, a digital health communication platform improving health literacy and patient-centred care in Cameroon.
Dr. Ngwashi is also an award-winning writer with a focus on issues which influence social determinants of health. She was declared a Youth Transforming Africa by the World Bank Group in 2019 and is dedicated to improving the health component of human capital development. She has actively participated in policy discussions which have paved the way for investments in African health systems.
She has recorded global impact by using digital technology for health promotion and is a 2020 TechWomen Fellow. She plans to design health care systems which function at the intersection of digital innovation, sustainable health financing and prioritisation of preventive, community, and patient-centred care. She believes that everyone should have access to health information and services irrespective of their financial ability, geographical location or cultural inclination.
