Firhaana Bulbulia
Founder of the Barbados Association of Muslim Ladies
Firhaana is the Founder of the Barbados Association of Muslim Ladies, a community-based organization promoting the socio-economic and educational advancement of Muslim women and girls. She also serves as an Education Ambassador to the Shirley Chisholm Education Foundation, Project Coordinator for U-Report Barbados and Lead of the Commonwealth Youth Gender Equality Network Child, Early and Forced Marriage Committee. She has over 10 years’ experience as a community women's rights activist and serves on Barbados' National Child Rights Committee. In March 2021, Firhaana co-organised one of the largest movements for juvenile justice reform in Barbados. In a professional capacity, she is a gender and communications analyst.
