Francesca is the Managing Director and Founder of Love The Oceans, a marine conservation charity working in Mozambique. She holds a master’s in marine biology, has always had a passion for marine life, and is an emerging leader in the ethical tourism space. She is the recipient of 2021 The Ocean Award by Blue Marine Foundation & BOAT international. Results orientated, she constantly encourages people to consider conservation in everyday life and take a greener approach to modern living. She likes to stay close to the research and community, overseeing the majority of programs on the ground in Mozambique. Love The Oceans runs community outreach projects and collects data on humpback whales, ocean trash, megafauna (whale sharks & manta rays), fisheries, coral reefs and turtles. Love The Oceans is a multi-award-winning organisation, recently recognized as 1 of 15 global grassroots Forces For Change by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, receiving international recognition for their work.
