John Jal Dak is the Executive Director of the Youth Social Advocacy Team (YSAT), a refugee youth-led non-governmental organization that works to address the increasing culture of violent conflict by creating an inclusive environment. They aim to develop community empowerment through skills development, conflict transformation, livelihoods, basic adult literacy and social innovations which promotes peaceful coexistence, improves household income and increases education for self-reliance to support peace and development at the grassroots level. Founded in June 2016, YSAT was first registered in 2017 with ADLG/DCS Reg. 503/360, and in 2020 Registered with Uganda National NGO Bureau as National NGO with Offices in Rhino Camp Refugee Settlement, Imvepi Refugee Settlement & Arua city.
