Kate Brown is the Executive Director of the Global Island Partnership, a platform that enables island leaders and their supporters to take action to build resilient and sustainable island communities. Working in all the island regions of the world, GLISPA helps its members to have greater impact than they would working alone. As a passionate advocate for islands, Brown has been working for more than 20 years on partnerships, collaboration and engagement in a global island context. Brown has experience in Government, non-government and intergovernmental organisations and a keen sense of the most important elements of the international policy setting space relevant to islands as well as the ingredients for implementation. Brown is a strategic thinker who is able to present clear ideas and set up the right conditions for collaboration to thrive.
