Our Consultation Process

The content of every One Young World Summit is driven by the views of young people around the world.

We conduct a consultation process which includes polls, surveys and focus groups.

Based on a feedback survey completed by delegates immediately after the 2012 Summit and an online poll conducted in February, we have generated the provisional list of themes for the 2013 Summit’s six main plenary sessions.

These are;

Education, Youth Unemployment, Global Business, Sustainable Development, Human Rights and Leadership & Governance.

The next step

We are now moving to the next phase of our consultation process. For the first time ever we will be conducting online focus groups using Google Hangout.

Each session will give will give Ambassadors the chance to express their views on:
- What specific issues should be addressed by each Plenary.
- What delegates should vote on during Plenaries.

In order to encourage detailed discussion, each session will focus on a specific Plenary theme.

How to take part

We have scheduled an initial 12 sessions that will take place between 25 April 2013 - 3 May 2013.
