Our Programmes

One Young World identifies and connects young leaders from every country through our partner organisations and scholarship programmes. These young leaders join our Community as Ambassadors. One Young World contributes to their development by:

INSPIRING them to increase their social impact

BUILDING their skills and capacity

ELEVATING their profiles locally and globally

Applying this theory, we help create a generation of young leaders with integrity, who have the ability and resources to drive positive change

Action Accelerator

The Action Accelerator was created by four young leaders who, upon meeting at the One Young World Summit Bogotá, 2017, quickly identified an opportunity to help fellow young leaders move from inspiration to action across the UN Global Goals.

With support from Ambassador PJ Mistry, founder of the Action Accelerator, the global programme concluded in 2023 with a pitch day for participants, who successfully implemented learnings from the programme and presented their work to a panel of experts.

The 2024 edition of the programme was opened to all Delegates from the One Young World Summit Belfast, 2023, and was expanded to include online peer-led Action Sessions.

And Much More

The above programmes are only a snapshot of our offerings to the One Young World Community in 2022. We ran 140 different regional events that were attended by 7,350 people, finding inspiration to tackle the Global Goals agenda and connecting to their peers.

Over 55 Ambassadors participated in our COP programming, an 80% increase over COP27, while our Ambassadors also attended events like Anthropy, and were nominated for exclusive opportunities such as the Re.Generation programme, run by the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, and the Fundacion Princesa de Girona annual awards.

One Young World also featured and promoted our Ambassadors in over 260 social media posts.
